1. Who we are

Social Media Guru ("we", "us") is a web design, digital marketing and IT products business based in Potchefstroom, North West, South Africa. Contact: support@socialmediaguru.co.za · 071 374 3360.

2. Online store

All prices are displayed in South African Rand and include VAT at 15%. Prices and stock availability are updated daily from our suppliers and may change without notice; if a pricing error occurs on an order you have placed, we will contact you before processing and you may cancel for a full refund.

Delivery is via courier, typically within 3–7 working days depending on stock and your location. Deliveries to farms, plots, mines and remote areas may attract an additional courier surcharge — we will contact you before dispatch if this applies.

Large items (TVs, monitors, UPS units and similar) carry the delivery fee shown at checkout and do not qualify for free-delivery promotions.

3. Payment

Payments are processed securely by PayFast (Visa, Mastercard, Instant EFT, SnapScan and more) or 6DOT50 (wallet payments). We never see or store your card or wallet details.

For services, a 50% deposit is required before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. EFT payments are also accepted on invoices.

4. Returns & warranty (Consumer Protection Act)

You may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of delivery in terms of section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and return the goods at your cost for a refund, provided they are unused and in their original packaging.

Defective goods are covered by the supplier warranty stated on the product (typically 1 year carry-in unless stated otherwise) and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. See our Returns page for the process.

5. Services

Website design quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Work begins on receipt of the deposit and the required content. Two rounds of revisions are included unless the quote states otherwise.

Hosting and care plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance. Accounts unpaid 7 days after the due date may be suspended, and 30 days after the due date may be terminated after notice. We will always contact you before suspension.

6. Acceptable use (hosting)

Hosting may not be used for unlawful content, spam, phishing, malware or activity that harms other users of our servers. We may suspend accounts that put server stability or other clients at risk, with notice where reasonably possible.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to goods or services is limited to the amount you paid for the goods or services concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

8. General

These terms are governed by South African law. We may update them from time to time; the version published on this page applies to new orders.
